Wayne Jenson, age 43, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 20, 2024.

His funeral service was held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 25 at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. His service was live-streamed.

Visitation was held from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Friday, May 24 at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with his family present from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. A prayer service was held at 6:30 PM Friday evening, with a time of sharing to follow. The time of sharing was live-streamed.

Wayne Allan Jenson was born July 16, 1980, to Regg and Marsha Jenson in Huron, South Dakota. He was baptized in Huron at the American Lutheran Church. Wayne grew up in Doland and Redfield, and he graduated high school in 2000.

Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing during his childhood. He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids attending the races, going to car and tractor shows, taking them swimming, and going to the state fair. He loved riding motorcycles and working on cars. Family time was very important to Wayne, and he enjoyed watching movies with his grandson. Titanic was his favorite movie, and he often made the kids watch it on repeat! Decorating everything with his own touch was something his kids will remember him by, too! He was a kind and humble man.

He is survived by his children, Logan Jenson, Hayden McDermaid, Joseph Trautman and Piper McDermaid; his grandson, Easton Hiles; his parents, Marsha Jenson and Gene Weinreis and Regg and Jodi Jenson; his siblings, Jennifer (Chris) Boschee, Lesley (Jeremy) Wieseler, Ashley Jenson, William Jenson, Sarah (Nate) Black, Tiffany Castiglione and Tara McKnelly; and his grandma, Loretta Olson. Wayne also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Weinreis; his grandparents, Wayne and Helen McNutt, Arliegh Jenson and Glenn Olson; his aunts, Shelley Palmer and Gloria Paye;  and his uncles, Randy Jenson and Earl Jenson.
