Obituary

Violet Kleinsasser, age 92, of Huron, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center. Her funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 24th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was held at 10:00 AM, Saturday at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Violet Kleinsasser was born to Pete and Dora (Wipf) Kleinsasser on July 17, 1924. She attended school in Union Township in Spink County. She enjoyed the outside very much and loved her flowers and her garden. She also helped Ted in the farming duties.
On July 26, 1941, she was united in marriage to Theodore Kleinsasser. They shared life together for 72 years. In 1980, they sold their farm and possessions and purchased a home at 1725 Lawnridge SE. They lived there thirty years until ill health forced them to leave their home and they moved to Stoney Brook Suites on July 1, 2011.
On February 18, 1951, a son, Gary Lee, entered their home and it was a joyous occasion. Tragedy came along on April 8, 1963 when Gary passed away while attending school.
Violet was a faithful member of the Huron Mission Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
In addition to her son, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, who passed away on May 28, 2014; a brother, Walter Rudy, in infancy; her parents and parents-in-law; three brothers-in-law, Edwin, Clarence and Paul; and a sister-in-law, Ann McCoy.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Alvina (John M.) Hofer and Bernice Kleinsasser and a brother-in-law, Everett (Ramona) Kleinsasser, all of Huron.
