Valla Vee Peterson age 76, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 10, 2016. A graveside burial service was held in the LeSueur Cemetery, Bancroft, South Dakota. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, June 22nd at the Open Circle Adult Day Center at Hopkins, Minnesota.
Valla Vee was born on October 15, 1939, in Huron, South Dakota to Vincent and Amy Peterson.
Val loved her family, her church, her Open Circle day program, her Christ for People with Disabilities club and the loving staff at her group home where she was a resident for the past eight years.Playing the organ and piano at Bethesda Church and piano at club will always bring back fond memories of her love for the Lord.
She is survived by her brother, Fred (Dorothy) Peterson; her niece, Ronda (Steve) Oliver; her nephew, Brent (Lori) Oliver; three great nephews, Nathan Oliver, Chandler Oliver and Wyatt Peterson; and four great nieces, K.C. Oliver, Valerie Oliver, Kate Peterson and Julia Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
