Obituary

Trisha "TK" Kopriva, age 26, of Huron, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at Sioux Falls. Her funeral service was held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Trisha Rose Kopriva was born March 12, 1992, to Charles Kopriva and Andrea (Stahl) Mies at Rapid City. She attended Custer High School until 2006, when she transferred to Huron High School.
Trisha was employed at McDonalds, Subway, The Plains, Burger King and as a manager at the Tamarac Apartments for a short period.
In April 2010, Trisha married Lyonel Young at Hot Springs. From this union they had three children, Lestat James, December Rose and Zaylee Stella. The couple later divorced in December 2016.
Trisha had a heart of gold and was incredibly bright. She had the most infectious laugh that could light up the whole room. As a child, she enjoyed camping, fishing on Sheridan Lake and Pactola Lake and long walks on the trails in the Black Hills. She adored her time with her grandmother, Rose, as they spent many hours together. Trisha enjoyed music, photography, Snap Chat and crocheting with her mother. Her favorite times were spent with her friends and family. Most of all, she loved her children.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her three children, Lestat James Young, December Rose Young and Zaylee Stella Young and their foster parents, Ben and Marie Chase, all of Huron; her mother, Andrea Mies (Brad Chapman) of Huron; her father, Charles Kopriva (Sandra Wood) of Rapid City; two brothers, Christopher (Lauren) Kopriva of Belle Fourche and Joseph Kopriva of Rapid City; her grandfather, Gregory Kopriva (Kathryn Dennis) of Rapid City; her step-grandparents, Gene and Sharon Chapman of Huron; five uncles, Gary (Kathy) Stahl of Estherville, Iowa, Robert Stahl of Huron, Trent (Marisa) Stahl of Manhattan, Kansas, Larry (Elke) Kopriva of Rapid City, and Jim (Karen) Kopriva of Raymond; six aunts, DeeDee (Ed) Wilson of Canton, Tanya (Chris) Callahan of Canton, Ginger (Dan) Donovan of Huron, Michelle (Bert) Maunders of Cavour, Mary (Felix) Maes of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Linda (Dan)McLanahanof Albuquerque, New Mexico; one nephew, Alex Kopriva of Rapid City and one niece, Lexington Kopriva of Rapid City; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Betty Jo Hunter and Rose Kopriva; and her grandfathers, Duane Hunter, Sr. and Robert John Stahl, Sr.
