Tonia Stahl, age 83, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 6th at the Bethesda Church. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Tonia's funeral service was live-streamed through the church's website.

Anita Tonia Lee Walton was born October 28, 1938, to Byron and Edna (Wood) Walton, at Wayne, Kansas. She attended Huron High School at Huron, South Dakota. On March 9, 1958, she married Tony Stahl at Huron.

Tonia was a woman of strong faith, fierce love, unsurpassed kindness, and a generous heart. She supported and cared for generations of children during her years at the roller-rink and was known as "mom" by so many. None were so lucky to have her as five of her grandchildren and two great-grandchildren she helped to raise. She loved them endlessly and cherished her time with them. Tonia loved to bake, care for her pets, play with her great-grandchildren, and was devoted in her love for Jesus Christ.

Tonia is survived by two children, Dale (Brita) Stahl of Pierre and Dean Stahl of Huron; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Mandy, Holli, Tony, Chelsea and Jerad; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Stahl; one son, Darrell Stahl, one granddaughter, Heather Stahl; her parents, Byron and Edna; and her brothers, Dennis and Gary Walton.
