Terri Maude (Spicer), age 58, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the Dougherty Hospice House at Sioux Falls, surrounded by her loving children after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer.

A private service was held.

Terri was born October 28, 1961, to Jerry and Katherine (Donney) Spicer. In 1969, Terri moved to Gettysburg, South Dakota, where she was raised by her aunt Judy and uncle Ralland Titze. In 1980, Terri graduated from Gettysburg High School and soon joined the National Guard. Her time in the Guards allowed her to travel and see the world. She loved telling stories of her visit to South Korea.

Terri was blessed with two children whom she adored. In her spare time, Terri enjoyed doing home projects, playing video games, and watching movies and TV shows. Often disputes over who had to do chores were settled over a game of Madden Football. Terri had a passion for the sport of football and always looked forward to watching the Vikings play.

Terri is remembered in life by her daughter, Kayla (Josh) Carpenter of Sioux Falls; her son, Dennis Maude of Huron; and her granddaughter, Remington Maude.

Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine; her aunt, Judy; her uncle, Ralland; and her brother, Dennis.
