Sylvia Myers Scheele, age 90, of Huron, passed away Friday, March 1st, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Sylvia was born on June 24, 1928, in Huron, and shares a birthday with her grandson, Danny. She went to high school at Huron High and attended college at the University of South Dakota.
Sylvia was a commercial artist for much of her career in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She continued working in antiques and vintage jewelry in until her recent passing. Sylvia lived to travel to see family and friends, eat at ethnic restaurants, and dance to live music on South Padre Island, where she co-owned a small shop with a friend for a time. She also really loved animals and was deep in her faith.
Sylvia is survived by her son, David; daughters-in-law, Anne and Teresa; grandchildren, Laura, Dennis, Brandon, Danny and Michelle; great grandchildren; and lots of close friends in Huron, Minneapolis and Texas.
She was preceded by her husband, Clarence and son, Neil.
