Sue A. Hines, age 71, of Huron and formerly of Watertown, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

At her request, there will be no services. A private burial was held in the Prairie Hill Cemetery at Bradley, South Dakota.

Sue Ann Lauseng was born March 17, 1950, to Howard and Mabel (Engels) Lauseng, at Watertown. She grew up and attended school at Watertown.

She married Tom Redlin, who had joined the military, and together they traveled to many duty stations, as Tom honorably served the United States. They returned to the Bradley area when Sue's father, Lawrence, became ill.

Later when Tom passed away, Sue worked as a nurse's aide for 10 years at the Jenkin's Living Center at Watertown.

In 2005, Sue met Merlyn Hines of Huron, and they were married on June 3, 2006. Sue then worked at the Huron Walmart for 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Tom Redlin; and one sister, Nancy Swentik.

Sue is survived by her husband, Merlyn Hines of Huron; her children, Anthony Redlin of Ocala, Florida; Sheila Leichtenberg of Huron, Craig (Melanie) Hines of Chapin, South Carolina and Jeff (Roxie) Hines of Tea; three grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters, Gary Lauseng of Austin, Minnesota, Dickie Lauseng of Aberdeen, Diane (Ricky) Block of Wallace and Linda (Al) Migge of Watertown.
