Steven Allerdings, age 52 of Huron, passed away on July 4, 2024, at the Sanford (USD) Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

His memorial service was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 12, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. His service was live-streamed.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Steven Allerdings, the son of Marvin and Gladys (Hoffman) Allerdings, was born on August 23, 1971 in Miller. Steven lived in Turton, during his childhood where he attended Doland School. Steven's family then moved to Ashton, where he attended Northwestern High School. Steve lived in Redfield, before moving to Huron in 2002.

He worked as a truck driver for GCC Ready Mix for 12 years, and then for JD Concrete, until his health forced him to retire.

Steve enjoyed playing darts and was a member of the Thunderbird Dart Team. He enjoyed following many sport teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers, LA Lakers, Pittsburgh Penguins and college football. Steve liked playing the Wii and videogames and watching movies, especially "The Ten Commandments".

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Marvin in 2017; and several aunts and uncles.

Grateful for having shared in Steve's life are his mother, Gladys Allerdings of Huron; his brother, Kenneth Allerdings of Bath; his daughter, Natasha (Damien) Smith of Watertown; his uncle, Herschel Hoffman; and several cousins.
