Shwe War, age 48, of Huron, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, April 2, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.

Shwe War, the daughter of Thaung Sein and Daw Naw Pae, was born on January 1, 1978, in Burma.

She married Na Bann in 2002, in Burma. The couple moved to the United States in 2008, and made their home in North Carolina where Shwe War worked for Mountainaire Foods and Tyson Foods. After her husband’s passing, Shwe War moved the family to Huron in March of 2024, and began working for Dakota Provisions.

Shwe War loved fishing, foraging for plants, and cooking. She loved listening to music and her favorite color was gold after her namesake which when translated means Gold. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Grateful for having shared in Shwe War’s life are her three children, Pyo Pyo Win of Huron, SD, Paw Kee Mu of Albert Lea, MN and Tun Lin of Huron, SD; her brother, Moe Hein in Burma; one nephew, Thaung Sein; and one niece, Nan Myint Myint Htwe of Huron, SD.

Shwe War was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Na Bann; and her sister, Tin Myint.
