Shirley Y. Lovejoy, age 73, of Huron, went to her heavenly home after a short illness on Saturday, April 15, 2023. She was a beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt.

Her graveside service was held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 26 at the Riverside Cemetery.

Shirley was born on August 10, 1949, to Jack and Ann (Vigil) Marsh in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated high school in North Highlands, California in 1968. Shirley went on to attend cosmetology school and pursued her passion of helping others look their best.

Shirley loved being a cosmetologist and met the love of her life, Larry, while cutting his hair. July 15, 1985. They were united in marriage by the captain of the "Tahoe Queen" while cruising beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Shirley and Larry enjoyed travelling and went on many adventures to Hawaii, Lake Tahoe and Disneyland until Larry's passing in 1998. In 2012, Shirley moved from California to South Dakota to be near family.

She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, travelling, reading her Bible, spending time with her loved ones, and animals, especially her favorite pups, Zoe, Keio and Maddie.

Shirley will be remembered with love by her sisters, Patti and Donald Kuhns, Jeannie Diller and Judith Martinez and their families; her companion, Clyde Mason and family; many nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and one great-nephew who loved her unconditionally and she doted upon – Lilli and Willow Ronneberg and Enslee and Daxtin Kempf.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ann Marsh; beloved husband, Larry; a brother, Jack Marsh Jr.; a sister, Jan Barnes; as well as one niece and three nephews.
