Visitation was held from 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A time of sharing was held at 6:30 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.

Ruth Kay (Brock) Weber was born November 1, 1937, in Huron, South Dakota, to Karl and Estella (Morse) Brock.

She lost her precious mother at the tender age of 8. This impacted mom's whole life and bonded the three youngest Brock children. Mom, Carol Ann and Bud depended on each other and that close relationship remained their whole lives.  Mom loved her dad and all her siblings dearly.

Mom married our dad, Delbert Decker, on August 31, 1954, in Huron, South Dakota. They divorced in 1979. Mom and Dad had eight kids, they taught each one of us the value of hard work and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Mom married Curt Weber August 13, 1982, in Huron. They resided in Wessington Springs and Huron.  Curt's four boys grew to love our mom too.

Mom worked hard her whole life, and she loved as hard as she worked.  Having us eight kids in ten years, in the days before automatic appliances, she was constantly doing laundry, cooking and baking.  Mom had a very tender heart and was as unselfish as they come.

Mom was a member of Living Hope Alliance Church.  She enjoyed the Women's Ministry and the weekly Bible studies.

Mom entered Avantara in February 2019. Even there, Mom hated to "bother" people, they were "so busy" she hated to turn her light on for help. The staff often reminded her they were there for her. We heard several staff tell us Mom was not afraid of sharing her faith in Jesus, and it made them seek Him too.

She is survived by her five children, Dennis (Maureen) Decker of Yale, David Decker of Worthington, Minnesota, Melanie (Mark) Wipf of Huron, Donavon (Kirsten) Decker of Andover, Kansas, and June (David) Burney of Sioux Falls; two sons-in-law, Bruce Harms, Madison and David Clark, Yakima, Washington; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren, with a ninth to arrive this year. Ruth is also survived by her dear brother, Bud (Gail) Brock of Hitchcock; one sister-in-law, Anna Fay Brock of Huron; her many nieces and nephews; and her loving stepchildren and their families, Darwin (Lola) Weber of Longview, Washington, Carol Beth Weber of Portland, Oregon, CL (Sherry) Weber of Custer and Gaylord (Deena) Weber of Liberty, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three daughters, Monica German, Mary Clark and Jolene Harms; her parents; her siblings, Carol Ann and Floyd Ahlstrom, Arden and Myrva Brock, Keith Brock and Jeannette Schesser; her step-mother, Hazel Brock; one great-grandchild, Rayne Nelson; and one stepson, Wayne Weber.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Avantara for the love shown to Mom. Her "D" wing staff were very special to her.
