Rose Mary Wuestewald, age 88, of Huron, died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society in De Smet. Her funeral mass was celebrated at 2 PM Tuesday, June 28th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was in the St. Martin Cemetery.
Rose Mary Wuestewald was born March 26, 1928, in Yankton to Albert and Ellen Rose Blow. She grew up in Yankton and received her education there.
She married Frank Wuestewald on June 4, 1951, in Wessington. They lived on a farm near Wessington and then in Huron for a short time before moving to Alpena. For the past five years, she was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in De Smet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Joseph, in infancy; her daughter, Mary; two grandsons, Francis and Art, Jr.; four brothers, Eli, Leo, Ben and Louie; and a sister, Maxine.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Arthur (Cindy) Wuestewald of Las Vegas, Nevada, Theresa Lund of De Smet, Ellen (Mike) Davey of Maricopa, Arizona, Kathy Wuestewald of Huron, Bennett (Tammy) Wuestewald of Frederick, and Paul (Khristy) Wuestewald of Lake Preston; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Bonath of Sanborn, Iowa.
