Ron Hoy, age 78, of Mitchell, passed away on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital at Mitchell. He will be cremated and private family burial will be at the Virgil Cemetery.
Ron was born on April 23, 1939, at Huron, South Dakota, to Eugene T. and Leona M. (Lien) Hoy. He lived at home until 1946 when he entered the Redfield State School. Ron lived there until 1990 when he moved to Life Quest at Mitchell, South Dakota. He has lived there since.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Robert Bowder.
He is survived by his sister, Judith Bowder of Sioux Falls; a niece, Sharman Smith of Sioux Falls; and two great-nephews, Brandon Neitzert and Corey Neitzert.
