Rollie Watson, age 64, of Huron, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at his home. His Celebration of Life was held at 4 PM, Thursday, July 2nd, at his home at 20585 SD Hwy 37 N, with Rev. Dean Lindstad, officiating.
Rollie Dean Watson was born February 9, 1951, to Raymond and Frances (Larsen) Watson at Redfield. He grew up on a farm near Hitchcock. He graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1969. He then went on to study at Northern State University.
Over the years, Rollie worked at several jobs and as a farm hand. He pursued his own business as a welder for over 22 years. Rollie was very civic minded, always wanting to support the local business, especially those who supported him. He was active in the community he resided in. He was a volunteer firefighter. Rollie also served on the board for the Town of Yale for years.
On May 28, 2004, Rollie married Lisa Pinzino at Huron.
Rollie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Rollie could always be counted on to lend a hand, or help a friend in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Walda Benker; and one son-in-law, LaJuan Robinson.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Lisa of Huron; his children, Tracey (Jason) Watson of Sioux Falls, Tony (Susie) Watson of Redfield, Troy (Nicky) Watson of Henry, Travis (Felicia) Watson of Bismarck, North Dakota, Nicole (Eric) Rogers of Alpena, Michelle (Josh) Watson of Yale, Jennifer Watson of Sioux Falls, Jason (Chrisina) Cook of Benton, Arkansas, Joshua Cook of Anchorage, Alaska, Jamie (Bryan) Pinzino of Huron, and Jude (Bre) Pinzino of Huron; twenty-two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Nancy (James) Hein of Huron; one brother, William (Pat) Watson of Huron; one brother-in-law; Paul Benker of Huron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
