Robert Yeaman, age 88, of Huron and formerly of Rapid City and Stockton, California, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Avantara Healthcare – Huron.

His graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Robert "Bob" Yeaman was born November 8, 1933, to Harry and Rose (Bauman) Yeaman.

Bob was an elementary school teacher for the Stockton Unified School District for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He loved being a teacher and was a teacher activist throughout his career.

He was a proud democrat and was very active in the democratic politics while living in California.

A sports enthusiast, Bob loved the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing, boating, hiking and back packing in South Dakota, Wyoming and California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darleen George.

Survivors by his children and their families, Scott and Jill Yeaman and their daughters, Jennie and Melissa; Kurt and Debbie Yeaman and their daughters, Katelyn and Maddie; and Linda and Brad Drennan and her daughters, Aimee and Paige Young, all from California.
