Obituary

Robert "Bob" Ham, age 87, passed away on March 17, 2019 marking the end of a life fully lived.A memorial service will be held at a later time when the sun shines brightly and the air is warm.
Robert was born in the midst of a blizzard to Ronald and Delphia Ham on January 28, 1932 in Shadehill, SD. He grew up on the family ranch with four brothers and two sisters, attending country school and graduating from Lemmon High School. Bob and his brothers, Don, Norbert and Maurice, took over the family ranch and together founded Ham Brothers, Inc. Bob raised five children on his ranch with his wife, Jeannie (Sattler) Ham.
Bob was an example of life balance - hard work, adventure and fun. After leaving the Shadehill area he spent time in Buena Vista, Mexico; Anchorage, Alaska; Yuma, Arizona; Huron, South Dakota. He loved being outdoors and was an avid sportsman; planning much of his time and travels around hunting and fishing. Bob made friends easily and held these relationships close to his heart. He was quick with a joke and always had a smile.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Delphia Ham and six siblings, Delores Evans, Donald Ham, Joyce Willett, Melvin Ham, Norbert Ham and Maurice Ham.
He is survived by his five children, Karoll (Kori) Ham of Big Springs, NE, Wayne (Kathy) Ham ofMarshalltown, IA, Darlene (Rick) Sabers of Huron, SD, Richard (Cindy) Ham ofBlack Creek, WI, Judy (Keith) Speicher ofParker, CO; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
