Robert Baker, age 64, of Alpena, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

His memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert L. Baker was born June 27, 1958, to Donald and Shirley (Hylton) Baker. He was raised in Davenport, Iowa. In 2002, he moved his family to Huron, South Dakota.

He was an avid hunter. Robert was very proud of his career in trucking, having worked at both Harmon Glass in Bettendorf, Iowa and Stans in Alpena.

Robert is survived by his children, Jennifer (Kenneth) Sederstrom, Robert (Rebecca) Baker and Jason (Rochelle) Baker; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Ashley, Andrew, Kenneth, Lukas, Brooklyn, Ethan, Felicity; his great grandchild, Ariah Baker; his siblings, Deborah Ryan, Dale Baker, Rebecca McDonald, Russell Case all of Davenport, Darcy Barnum of California and Kristin Baker of Mexico; and his special friend, Lynn Hinrichs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda; his siblings, Shelly Case, Terry, Dennis and Donald Baker Jr.; and a granddaughter, Grace Baker.
