Phillip J. Waldner, age 48, of Wolsey, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Ava's House at Sioux Falls.

His memorial visitation was held from Noon until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 14th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. A private family burial was in the Hillside Colony Cemetery.

Phillip J. Waldner was born July 17, 1973, to Sam and Margaret (Waldner) Waldner, at Huron. He was grew up at the Hillside Colony, and later moved to New Dale Colony, where he remained until turning 18. He then moved to Mitchell and later Sioux Falls, working as a truck driver for Exide Batteries and for a custom harvester.

Phillip bought his own truck and worked for Asphalt Paving and Materials at Huron, until his passing.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his cows on his hobby farm near Wolsey. Phillip had wanted to go to Alaska one more time for another fishing trip, like the one he enjoyed a few years ago.

Phillip is survived by his parents, Sam and Margaret Waldner of Hillside Colony; and his siblings, Sam and Becky Waldner of Hillside Colony, Darrell and Lillian Waldner of Hillside Colony, Janet and Stephen Waldner of Hawley, Minnesota, Randy and Kathy Waldner of Hillside Colony and Valerie Waldner of Hillside Colony.
