Obituary

Patrick Patrow, age 76, of Redfield and formerly of Huron, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Avantara-Redfield.

His funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 15, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the Hershman-Gordon American Legion Post #59. His service will be live-streamed.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.

Patrick was born June 7, 1948, at Huron. He grew up in the Huron area where he enjoyed swimming in the summers and ice skating in the winters. He graduated from Huron High School.

Pat proudly served 25 years in the United States Navy. He served on the Iowa and Oriskany Ships and later became a recruiter. After being, honorably discharged from the Navy, Pat returned to Huron where he worked as a Beadle County Jailor. He also had Pat's Lawn Care.

He enjoyed playing golf all of his life and making friends at the Huron Country Club. Pat was a member of the Huron Elks Lodge #444 and served as the Exalted Ruler. He liked hunting pheasants and watching dirt track races. Pat was loving and generous with his time when he was with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy (Osmanson) Searing.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his son, David Patrow; his brother, Jim and Susan Searing of Huron; his sister, Barbara Linneman of Huron; and his nieces and nephews and their families.
