Pamilla Cooper, age 69, of Huron, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. There will be a private family service held at a later date.
Pamilla was born August 23, 1950, at Clark, South Dakota, to Kenneth and Mayme (Hurlburt) Cooper. Pamilla was raised in the Clark area, later attending college and becoming a school teacher. She taught school for several years in western South Dakota, including Eagle Butte and Red Scaffold.
After Pamilla retired from teaching, she moved to Huron to be closer to family. While living in Huron, she began working as an editor for the Huron Daily Plainsman, retiring for a second time a few months ago.
Pamilla loved to read, work with horses and spend time gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Jody, and her husband, Matt Ruedebusch of Huron; grandchildren, Cody Bastian, Tyler Keimig, William Briley; and step-grandchildren, Tyler Ruedebusch, Justin Ruedebusch and Cody Ruedebusch.
