Obituary

Pamela Ochsner, age 67, of Huron, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at her home under hospice care, after losing her battle with cancer.

Her funeral service was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 12, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Her service was live-streamed.

Her visitation with family present was held one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Pamela Joyce Mason was born November 3, 1958, to Norman and Rosemary (Cook) Mason at Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Huron High School in 1977 and then attended college at Creighton University.

Pam married Delwin Ochsner and to this union were born three children: Adam, Tye and Katie. They made their home in Alpena. They later parted ways and she moved to Huron.

In October 2000, Pam met Terry Pratt and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Pam was a great cook who loved having her table full of family. She was known for baking loaves of bread for the people she loved. She also cooked for many of the local establishments in Huron.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends over coffee and chatter. She cherished being a grandma and loved attending her grandchildren’s activities, especially her grandson’s baseball games. She adored her dog “Baby” and various other critters.

Pam liked spending her time outdoors in her garden and tending to her plants. She also loved playing Yahtzee and other games, as well as arts and crafts with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Mason; one brother-in-law, Blair Meyers; one step-son, Jared Pratt; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her fiance, Terry Pratt of Huron; three children, Adam (Paige) Ochsner of Alpena, Tye (Rachelle) Ochsner of Alpena and Katie (Brandon) Fujita of Flower Mound, Texas; one step-son, Jordan (Kristin) Pratt of De Smet; one step-daughter, Val (Tom) Anez, Harrisburg; ten grandchildren, Oliver and Gus Ochsner, Logan, Takeo and Makenzie Fujita, Granger and Lakelyn Pratt, Landon Anez and Mollie and Leah Pratt; two sisters, Sue (Gary) Bougger of Columbus, Nebraska and Sheryl Meyers of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
