Norma E. Selix, age 87, of Huron, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Avantara-Huron.

Her funeral service was held be at 10 AM, Thursday September 24th, at the American Lutheran Church in Huron, with visitation one-hour prior to the service. Interment followed in the Belle View Lutheran Cemetery at Howard.

Her service was live streamed through the church's Facebook page .

Norma was born in Madison, South Dakota, to Richard and Sarah (Tystad) Bergheim on October 3, 1932.  She was raised in the Howard area, graduating from Howard High School in 1951.  Norma lived in the Carthage area for several years.  She married Glenn Selix on May 28, 1980, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage.  They moved to Huron a short time later, when Glenn started working at Olsen Implement and Norma was a homemaker.

Norma was a long-time member of the American Lutheran Church, serving as church librarian for many years. She was also active in American Lutheran Church Women and the Sons of Norway.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; son, Wayne Shaw; brothers, Richard Bergheim, Orrin Bergheim, Orin Bergheim, Donald Bergheim and Wayne Bergheim; and sisters, Sylvia Tow and Muriel Molumby.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Jocelyne Bergheim; along with nieces and nephews; and special friends Mark, Tricia, Bethany, Victoria, Micah and Ben Larson; Rob, Kim, Jacob and Gabe Rieger; Brenda Welch and Donna Thompson.
