Norma S. Kyle, age 90, of Huron, died Monday, December 26, 2016, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home. As per her wishes, she was cremated and there will be no services.
Norma S. Lyons was born December 20, 1926, to Kenneth and Minnie (Markley) Lyons at Coshocton, Ohio. She graduated from Newcomers Town High School. In 1945, Norma joined the United States Army.
She met William Spindler at Ft. Sam in Houston, Texas, and they were later married in Raton, New Mexico. He died in 1962.
In 1965, Norma married William Kyle at Clark, South Dakota. He died December 19, 2010.
Norma had resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Gene Stocks, for the past five years. A few weeks ago she moved to Violet Tschetter Memorial Home to recuperate from a recent surgery.
Norma enjoyed reading and tending to her flowers in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Dr. William Spindler and William S. Kyle; one son, Ross Willis in infancy; one brother, Herbert Lyons; and one sister, Martha Lyons.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her two daughters, Carrie (Gene) Stocks of Huron and Tracey (Terry) Peterson of Powell, Wyoming; one son, Christopher Kyle of Port Orange, Florida; three grandchildren, June Peterson, Jason Peterson and Ashley Kyle; and four great-grandchildren.
