Monte Tschetter, age 53, of Huron, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 30th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Monte Ray Tschetter was born October 11, 1963, to Clifford P. and Violet (Gross) Tschetter at Huron. He graduated from Huron High School in 1981 and later from Huron College.
Monte worked at Huron Dressed Beef and then Dakota Pork. At the time of his death, Monte was working for the Social Security office and for Lutheran Social Services.
Monte was a member of the Living Hope Alliance Church. He enjoyed fishing in his younger years. He liked to read and was a fan of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Tschetter on January 30, 2015; and his grandparents, Jake I. and Lydia Tschetter and Rhinehart J. and Rebecca Gross.
Survivors include his mother, Violet Tschetter of Huron; one brother, Randy (Lori) Tschetter of Lennox, one nephew, Austin Tschetter of Lennox; and three aunts, Lila Hofer, Esther Tschetter and Rose Wipf, all of Huron.
