Minnie Hein, age 84, of Huron and formerly of Wolsey, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the SunQuest Health Care Center. Her funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 24th at St. John's Lutheran Church, Wolsey, with Rev. L. Scott Spiehs, officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Minnie Muriel Severson was born January 17, 1931, to Sever and Gertrude (Dinehart) Severson at Dunn Center, North Dakota.
On September 19, 1948, Minnie married Richard Hein at Wolsey, South Dakota. After their marriage, they farmed southwest of Wolsey. They retired in 1974 and moved to Wolsey in 2001.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey, and was a member of the Vernon Township and Sand Creek extension clubs and the Wolsey Senior Center.
Minnie enjoyed crocheting, gardening, shopping, collecting jewelry, and visits from family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on December 7, 2009; one daughter, Brenda, and sixteen brothers and sisters.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her children, James (Nancy) Hein of Huron, and Lorenda (Marshall) Grace of Huron; seven grandchildren, Kari (Dave) Hinker of Huron, Benjamin Hein of Huron, Amy (Andy) Fullerton of Huron, Andrea Stahl of Rapid City, Randy Stahl of Huron, Tony Grace of Huron, and Lindsey (Brandon) Bawcom of Nashville, Tennessee; eight great-grandchildren, Tye, Tanner and Teegan Evers, Justice and Jayci Hinker, and Wesley, Allyson and Owen Fullerton; and one brother-in-law, Roy Clarke of Wessington.
