Melvin D. Moldrem, age 67, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Huron, passed away peacefully at Sanford USD Medical Center at Sioux Falls.

His memorial services will be held in the Summer of 2022.

Melvin D. Moldrem was born June 26, 1954, to Harold and Margaret (Bonnes) Moldrem at Huron. Huron was his home most of his life. In 2014, Mel moved to Avantara Nursing Home at Redfield, then to the Avantara Nursing Home at Salem, then at the Avantara-Norton Nursing Home at Sioux Falls until his passing.

Mel enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings, NASCAR and his favorite driver #24 Jeff Gordon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steve and Dennis; and one grandbaby, Alex.

Survivors include his three children, John, Amy and Jennifer (Douglas); eight grandchildren, DJ, Harold (Hayden), Jason, Jordan, Miranda, Nicholas, Whitney and Alex; one brother, Larry; one sister, Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
