Max Hansen, age 85, of Huron, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Prairie View Healthcare Center at Woonsocket.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Max Hansen was born September 14, 1935, to John and Hilda (Hueschen) Hansen in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The family then moved to Huron where Max attended and graduated from Huron High School. After graduation Max enlisted in to the United States Air Force.

He later met M. Jean Westmoreland at Greenville, South Carolina, they were married on June 27, 1958. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.

In 1964, Max and Jean moved to Huron where he began working at Hansen Oil Equipment.

In his spare time, he enjoyed making model air planes and flying them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, M. Jean Hansen on June 13, 2019.

Max is survived by three sons, Mitchell Hansen, Michael (Deanna) Hansen and Marcus Hansen; four grandchildren, Justyze, Shelby, Matthew and Kirsten; and one sister, Cathleen Holmes.
