Maryellen E. Bobeldyke, age 71, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at her home.

At her request there were no public funeral services. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Maryellen Elizabeth Bobeldyke was born August 31, 1948, to Samuel and Mildred Fanshaw at Portsmouth, Virginia.  She married Max Lewis, Sr. and they later divorced.  She married Dennis Bobeldyke on July 15, 1969, at Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  The Bobeldyke family moved to Huron in October of 1991, where she has since lived, raising her family.

Maryellen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dennis.

Survivors include her children, Max Lewis, Jr., Ernest (Maribeth) Bobeldyke, Mildred (Mike) Mess and Steven (Eva) Bobeldyke; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel "Butch" (Donna) Fanshaw III; one sister, Ruth Viereck; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
