Obituary
Mary Ellen Quist, age 81, of Huron, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, at SunQuest HealthCare Center. As per her wishes, her cremated remains will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date. A Mass will be said in memory of Mary Ellen at 5:30 PM, Tuesday, September 25th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Mary Ellen Quist was born September 24, 1936, to Gerard and Helen Sullivan at Brooklyn, New York.She was baptized at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea at Brooklyn.
She worked at Rockefeller Center at Manhattan most of her adult life.
On February 19, 1966, Mary Ellen married John Quist.
Due to circumstances after her husband's death in 2015, Mary Ellen moved to Huron, South Dakota, to be closer to family. She resided at SunQuest Village and Courtyard Apartments at Huron.She met many new friends during the past three years of her life, and spoke fondly of you all.
