Mary Margaret Burnett, age 95, of Huron, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Avantara Healthcare, Huron.

A picnic celebrating her life will be held  from Noon until 5:00 PM, Saturday, July 9th at the Prospect Park's Glide & Slide building on West side of park.

Mary Margaret Kasperson was born on December 1, 1926, in Kingsbury County to Chris and Leona (Brinkley) Kasperson.  She attended Huron Public Schools and graduated from Huron High School in June 1945.

She married Roger Burnett on January 8, 1947.  Mary Margaret was employed at Kasperson Implement/Oil Company and Raven Industries.

She was a member of the Odd Fellow/Rebekah Lodge, Goodwill Club and Extension Club.  She was active as a 4-H leader and in the United Methodist Women.

Mary Margaret loved to sew, quilt, crochet, garden, music, dancing and reading.

Mary Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Gloria Burnett Aronoff.

She is survived by her children; Roger (Susan) Burnett, Jr., Judy Metter, Gail (Todd) Williams; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
