Obituary

Marshall Clarence Grace, 54, was born on February 10, 1962. He passed on December 6, 2016, at Sanford USD Medical Center and was reunited in Heaven with his mother, Betty Stowe Grace and nephew, Tyler Grace. His funeral service was held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 10th at St. John's Lutheran Church, Wolsey. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Marshall was born in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where he spent most of his life before moving to Huron, South Dakota, where he has lived for the past nine years. He was a hardworking husband, father, son, brother, and friend who wanted nothing more than to sit on his back patio viewing flowers and having fires with those he loved. He was a devout Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan and delighted in eating Dairy Queen Dilly Bars. His favorite place to visit and relax was at the beach where he would enjoy the sun, write in the sand, and relish in eating delicious local foodas long as there were no cats walking nearby.
After starting his family and working full time, Marshall put himself through undergraduate school at Indiana Purdue Calumet University and then earned his MBA from Olivet Nazarene University. He was a past president of the Huron Sertoma Club and a member of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. Marshall eventually went on to become a proud owner and operator of A+ Tire and Auto Service with his wife, Lorenda.
Marshall and Lorenda Stahl married on December 31, 2011. They adored each other and were always seen holding hands and whispering, "Yes, Dear" or "I love you." Traveling was a favorite pastime for them and they both enjoyed spending time together in warm, sunny weather.
He has blessed many peoples' lives by being the kind, easygoing, thoughtful man that he was. He is survived by his wife, Lorenda Grace of Huron; his children, Tony (Amanda Gill and her son, Ryan Gill) Grace of Huron, Lindsey (Brandon) Bawcom of Nashville, Tennessee, Amy (Andy) Fullerton of Huron, Andrea Stahl of Rapid City, and Randy Stahl of Huron; his father, Tony Grace of Manteno, Illinois; three grandchildren, Wesley, Allyson and Owen Fullerton; three brothers, Mike (Jewelann) Grace of Braidwood, Illinois, Robert (Therese) Grace of Bourbonnais, Illinois and Ryan (Kim) Grace of Bradley, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, James (Nancy) Hein of Huron.
