Marlys Abbondondolo, age 67, of Huron, passed away from a heart attack on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
A private family service was held. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.
Marlys Ruth Culver was born February 21, 1953, to Lester and Ruth (Bevier) Culver. She was raised on a farm south of Cavour and attended Cavour Grade School and Huron High School. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, Marlys worked as a Medical Lab Technologist for Indian Health Service in Havre, Montana and Red Lake, Minnesota. Marlys married Marino Abbondondolo and they enjoyed their home near Red Lake, Minnesota, before retiring. After retirement, Marlys and Marino moved to Huron to be closer to Marlys' family.
Marlys and Marino enjoyed spending time with her mother, Ruth and other family in the South Dakota area. After moving to Huron, Marlys operated the Zig Zag Sewing Shop. She was a member of the Huron Area Quilt Guild and attended the Riverview United Methodist Church.
Marlys was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
She is survived by her husband, Marino; her brother, Roger (Evonne) Culver; her sister, Colleen (Graham) Smith; her sister-in-law, Annette (Keith) Zolobkowski; and several cousins.
