Marjorie "Marge" Bowne, age 80, of Marshall, Minnesota and formerly of Huron, South Dakota, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Prairie Home Hospice House. Her funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 1st, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was in the St. Martin Cemetery.
Marjorie Ione Neel was born January 18, 1936, to Charles and Grace (Pruess) Neel at Pierre, South Dakota. She graduated from Murdo High School in 1954. Marge married Dave Scheele, and they had five children.
Later in life, Marge married Fremon Larry Bowne on July 16, 1976, at the American Lutheran Church at Huron.Marge was co-owner of Bowne/Meyer Insurance Agency until her retirement. She was active in the Kiwanis, Red Hat Society, ITC, and with church groups. She also managed the St. Francis Thrift Shop.
The loves of her life were traveling, reading and her cats.
She moved to Marshall, Minnesota in October 2015 to the Boulder Creek Assisted Living Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fremon on November 11, 2011.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Robin (Gary) Barton of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Sandie (Jon) Zimmerman of Bismarck, North Dakota, Dawn (Brian) Klinkel of Scottsdale, Arizona, Dave (Jane) Scheele of Westminster, Colorado, and Darin (Lisa) Scheele of Marshall, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Jason, Clint, Jennifer, Emily, Alec, Brendan and Nathan; and several great-grandchildren.
