Margaret "Peggy" Moes, age 70, of Huron, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls.
Her graveside service was held at 2:30 PM, Friday, March 4th at Holy Rosary Church Cemetery at Kranzburg, South Dakota. A time of fellowship was held at Noon on Friday at the Holy Rosary Church Hall at Kranzburg.
Visitation was held from 1:00 to 6:30 PM Thursday, March 3rd at the Kuhler Funeral Home, Huron, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM Thursday evening. Peggy's prayer service was live-streamed through our website.
Margaret "Peggy" Moes was born December 18, 1951, to Gerald and Eileen (Wagner) Moes, at Watertown, South Dakota. She grew up in the Watertown area and attended school there. She then attended Metro Tech at Omaha, Nebraska and graduated as a licensed practical nurse.
Peggy worked in health care all of her life. She worked at hospitals and did home care in the Omaha area for 22 years. She then moved to Sioux Falls for a few years. In 2005, Peggy moved to Huron, where she continued to do private home care, until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law, Alan Decker; two nieces, Dana Beaudry and Nichol Moes Lotzer; two nephews, Gary Moes and Scott Moes; one great-nephew, Owen Eaglestar; one great-niece, Brittany Corcoran; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her ten siblings, Theresa (Denis) Drake of Huron, Greg (Julie) Moes of Goodwin, Jim (Kathy) Moes of Goodwin, Sue (Tom) Beaudry of Watertown, Pat Decker of Huron, John (Donita) Moes of Watertown, Joe (Karla) Moes of Watertown, Laurie (Thomas) Chipman of Huron, Michele Hard of Blue Earth, Minnesota and Jeff (Lynnette) Moes of Watertown; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one aunt, Mary Ann Moes.
