Malahki Thomas Bernards, 8 month infant son of Justin Bernards and Sharice Strote, of Huron, died Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was at 11 AM, Saturday, April 11th, at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Katie Jerabek, officiating.
On August 2, 2014, Malahki Thomas Bernards was born to Justin Bernards and Sharice Strote with his twin sister, Talieah Bernards, at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Malahki is survived by his parents of Huron; a brother, Brayden; two sisters, Alyhanna and his twin, Talieah Bernards; maternal grandfather, Warren (Breanna Turner) Duke of Sioux Falls; maternal grandmother, Tonia Schaefer of Sioux Falls; paternal grandmother, Robin Bernards of Huron; two uncles, Sheldon Strote and Chris Bernards, both of Huron; an aunt, Holly Olges of Huron; three godparents, Karen Anlaner, Brenten Hamm and Luis Gonzales, all of Huron.
He was preceded in death by a great-great grandmother, Faye Miller.
