Macy Ann Waldner, age 84, of Huron, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 1st, at Mount Olivet Church, Huron. Burial was in the Mount Olivet Church Section of Ideal Cemetery.

Macy Ann Gross was born October 16, 1936, to Andrew and Katherine (Hofer) Gross in Huron. Macy was raised on the family farm near Carpenter. She graduated high school from Sunshine Bible Academy in 1955. She received an Elementary Education certification from Northern State College in 1962; and her B.A. in Education from Huron College in 1981.
Macy met Jake Waldner, and they were married on May 10, 1962, at her parent's farm near Carpenter. She taught at various schools until after she had their twin children. She chose to stay home to full-time parent their three children for a few years. Next, she became a full-time daycare provider, until retiring.
Macy enjoyed playing scrabble on the computer, catching up on Facebook, painting ceramics, and attending various sports events at James Valley Christian School. Macy was a member of and actively involved at Mount Olivet Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband, Jake Waldner; two daughters, Barbara Waldner and Linda Waldner; one son, David (Barb) Waldner; one brother; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
