Mabel Arbeiter, age 94, of Huron, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at SunQuest Healthcare Center. Her funeral service was at 10:30 Thursday, November 12th at Living Hope Alliance Church. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mabel Arbeiter was born March 7, 1921, at Dolton, South Dakota to Wilfred and Katie Ortmann. At the age of four, she moved to Florida where she attended schools. On August 8, 1937, she married Joe Arbeiter at Sheffield, South Dakota. They spent many years farming.
Grateful for having a wonderful mother are her three children, Emma Tschetter of Huron, Otto (Linda) Arbeiter of Iroquois, and Elsie (Donnie) Tarrell of Lakeland, Florida; seven grandchildren, Emery (Jenny) Tschetter, Arla (Tim) Speer, Eddie (Daphne) Moeller, Tanya Zemlicka, Tena (Vinnie) Sudlow, Tristan (Alex) Merz and Dean Tarrell; eleven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Rex Ortmann of Lakeland, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her son-in-law, Darlo Tschetter; a grandson, Kelvin Moeller; and two brothers, Wesley and Ervin Ortmann.
