Lynda Jane Blume, the daughter of Wiley and Helen (Brink) Blume, was born on March, 31, 1943, in Redfield, South Dakota. She attended school and graduated from Redfield High School. Lynda also attended vocational technology school and received her degree as a dental hygienist. Lynda worked as a dental hygienist and for the State of South Dakota.

Lynda married Albert Allen Wipf on September 19, 1965, in Redfield, and to this union were born two children: Larry and Lonny. The couple always made their home somewhere in Harrison Township, where Lynda raised her family and helped Allen on the farm.

Lynda attended the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, rural Doland. She also served on the Harrison Township Board for many years. Lynda enjoyed fishing and watching her sons race in the stock car races. Lynda was known for her cooking, baking, and Sunday roast beef dinners. Lynda loved spending time with her friends and family. Lynda loved spoiling her two grandsons and watching their many activities. Lynda was always a hard worker.
