Lyle A. King, age 84, of Huron, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his home.

His service will be private.

Lyle Allen King was born to Victor and Nellie (Stevens) King on November 9, 1940, in Canova, South Dakota. He graduated from Fedora High School and moved to Huron, where he lived for the rest of his life.

On December 15, 1962, he married the love of his life, Jane Stai. To this union, they had three children, Penny, Todd and Michael.

He worked as a plumber for many decades, for both Lawsons and Bartons Plumbing. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. However, what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and grandkids, following their various interests and sports.

Lyle was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; his parents, Victor and Nellie King; his siblings, Gary and Connie; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Hodges.

He is survived by his children, Penny (Eric) Brown of Huron, Todd King of Wolsey and Michael (Kristen Murray) King of Huron; his grandchildren, Amy (Drew) Hemmer of Dell Rapids, Gregory Paulson of Huron, Stephanie (Nick) Kiple of Huron, Kera (Jayme) Washington of Florida, Kelsey King of Alaska, John (Christine Lacson) King of Madison, Cassidee (Landon) Ochsner of Alpena and Kaitlyn King of Huron; his great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Landen, Khloee, Sawyer, Caesyn, Cora, Kai, Cadden, Payton, Keegan, Kamya and Kyson; his sisters, Lillie (Dan) Johnson of Mitchell, Peggy (Craig) Podhradsky of Huron and Patty (Tom) Hughes of Howard; and many nieces and nephews.
