Luella P. Maxvold, age 87, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her memorial service was held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26th at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Luella P. Peck was born September 25, 1927, to Irven and Anna (Haffner) Peck of Huron, South Dakota. She graduated from Huron High School in 1945, met her husband, Donald L. Maxvold also of Huron, and was married August 29, 1947, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Luella worked as a telephone operator, met and married her true-love, Donald Maxvold. Following her marriage to Don, she continued her commitment to faith as a loving Christian wife, daughter, sister and mother of three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald on May 10, 1997; and three brothers, Monte, Everett and Delbert Peck.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Rocklin Kent Maxvold of Brooklyn, New York, Marilyn Laraine Maxvold of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Norma Jean Maxvold of Richmond Virginia; her eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua and Adam Kolb and Nicole, Erik, Meghan, Shannon and Maria Bunchman; and several nieces and nephews.
