Lori Weber, age 63, of Huron, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family.

At her request, there will be a family remembrance at a later date.

Lori Ann (Madsen) Weber was born on November 13, 1959, in Huron South Dakota, to Russell and Shirley (Temple) Madsen.  She was then raised on the family farm near Carpenter, attending school in nearby Doland.  Lori attended Doland Schools from Kindergarten through graduation from High school in 1978.  After graduation she moved to Huron, where with the exception of living in Wolsey for a few years, she spent the rest of her life in Huron.  She worked for Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Rail Road for many years as a mechanic.  In 2011, she left the railroad and worked in the parts department at Schoenhard's until 2018.  She married Steve Weber in Huron on February 14, 1997.

Lori enjoyed her flowers, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, canning and especially taking care of her loved ones.  She was a long-time member of the Carpenter United Methodist Church.

Preceding Lori in death were her daughter, Amber Bult; and her father, Russ Madsen.

Lori is survived by her husband, Steve, Huron; her children, Chad (Christa) Bult, Sioux Falls, Kara (Doug) Albright, Huron, Chad (Christine) Weber, Papillion, NE, Nikki (Manolo) Obregon, Sioux Falls, Misti (Corey) Thumann, Union, NE, and Corey (Abby) Weber, Union Star, MO; twenty grandchildren, Alex (Conner), Gavin, Lily (Austin), Mykah, Anyka, Tamika, Mikalynn, Brynna, Jerzey, Braelynn, Mabricio, Braydon, Breadon, Sophia, Joslynn, Layla, Troy, Amilcar, Carey, Cooper and Keller; one great-grandchild, Bea; her mother, Shirley Madsen, Carpenter; her brothers, Dave Madsen and Mike (Taren) Madsen, all of Carpenter; her sisters-in-law, Carla Newbauer and Linda (Brian) Stambaugh; her brother-in-law, Tom (Joan) Weber; and many nieces and nephews, and cousins, along with many friends close to her heart.
