Linda Arbeiter, age 82, of rural Iroquois, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

As her family honors her requests, a private graveside service was held.

Linda Kadie Sanders was born on October 22, 1943, in Pasadena, Texas to Clayton and Mary Sanders. At the age of 2 she moved to Idalou, Texas, then to Lorenzo, Texas where she attended grade school from grades 1-4. She then moved with her family to Farwell, Texas and attended school there for 2 years. She moved to Muleshoe, Texas where she attended grades 7-11.

On November 21, 1961, Linda married Charles Moeller of Huron. She moved with her husband to the Cavour area where they farmed and she finished her senior year at Huron High School, graduating in 1962.

In November of 1963, they moved to Spearfish where they owned and operated a propane business. In 1965, they moved to Mead, Colorado, where they built a manufacturing business making hay grind machines.

They later moved to Amarillo, Texas, where they expanded their manufacturing business and Linda was the bookkeeper. They expanded their business to Piedmont, South Dakota, where they moved and later sold the business.

In January 1976, Linda and Charles moved their family to Quirindi, NSW, Australia, where they ranched for 1½ years. They then moved to Tanna Island, New Hebrides, and were doing missionary work when her husband took ill and passed away on the island. Linda returned with her children to Longmont, Colorado to reside.

On May 27, 1978, Linda married Charles' cousin, Otto Arbeiter, of Yale, South Dakota. They built a home west of Iroquois on the family farm and ran the family farming and ranching operation.

Linda had a love for flowers and creating flower arrangements and decided to start a business in her home. She later moved into Huron with her business which was Country Silks, where she created a lot of wedding floral pieces for brides in the community, which she enjoyed.

Linda was also very active in her church Huron Baptist Church and loved serving Christ. She was the church pianist, head of the kitchen committee and actively involved in Women’s Outreach before becoming a member of the Huron Open Bible Church.

Linda is survived by her husband, Otto; two children, Eddie (Daphne) Moeller of rural Yale and Tanya Stephenson of Portland, Oregon; three grandchildren, Britney (Brendan) Moeller-Wechsler of Omaha, Nebraska, Gavin Moeller of Scottsdale, Arizona and Victoria Moeller of Scottsdale, Arizona; and two brothers, Roger (Stephanie) Sanders of Hinton, Oklahoma and Kevin (Rhonda) Sanders of Hereford, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Moeller; one son, Kelvin Moeller; her parents, Clayton and Mary Sanders; and one sister, Colleen Nash.
