Leo Waldner passed away on March 25, 2021, at his home.

His graveside service was held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Riverside Cemetery.

Leo was born March 23, 1939, to Edward and Elizabeth (Hofer) Waldner at Huron, SD. Leo grew up on the family farm north of Huron where he loved to ride his ponies, drive the tractor and help with chores.

Upon moving to Huron Leo began attending the Huron Area Center for Independence. Leo loved getting up each morning and riding on People's Transit to go work with Kelly in the kitchen. While at the Center Leo made countless friends with people supported as well as staff.

On January 1, 2017, Leo moved into his own apartment at the Butler Apartments. Leo enjoyed his new home and the interactions with his neighbors and staff.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Bernadine Stahl and brother-in-law, Helmuth Stahl.

He is survived by his guardians, Carolyn Stahl and David Stahl; and all of his friends at the Huron Area Center for Independence.
