Kenneth Weber, age 86, of Huron, passed away Saturday evening, March 5, 2016, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home with his daughters, Deb and Laurie, by his side. He was cremated and a private family service will be held in April.
Kenneth Herman Weber was born in Hand County, South Dakota near Miller on September 3, 1929, to Carl and Minnie (Engel) Weber. He grew up in Hand County and attended country school through the eighth grade. He then worked as a warehouseman for the Hood Corporation at Whittier, California. Kenny served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
On August 14, 1954, he married Patricia Joan Sarahan at Pipestone, Minnesota. Kenny also worked for the Beadle County Highway Department, Dakota Pork, the Huron Solid Waste Department and drove for Black Tie Limo in retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, (twins) Jeanie Joan and Jeffrey John in infancy; three sisters, Ruby Schmittgal, Millie Timm and Mary "Tootie" Micheall; and three brothers, Elmer Weber, George Weber and one in youth/infancy.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Huron; his children, Timothy Weber of Huron, Debra McAlister (Dale Fortin) of Huron, Laurie Alves of Huron, Kelly (Mike) Porec of Hawaii, and David (Carla) Weber of Wolsey; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Inez Grace of Huron.
