Obituary

Kathleen "Kathy" Ritenour, age 71, of Huron, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 25th, at the Mt. Olivet Church, with Rev. David Erdman, officiating. Burial was in the Ideal Cemetery.
Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Tschetter was born May 8, 1944, to Paul I. and Annie (Hofer) Tschetter in Huron.Kathy graduated from Huron High School in 1962.She received her master degrees in guidance/counseling and administration.
On October 19, 1962, Kathy married Carl Kenneth Ritenour at Mt. Olivet Church.Kathy and Carl had three children, Carlen, Keith, and Colleen.
She served as a guidance counselor at Hitchcock and James Valley Christian.Kathy also served as an elementary principal at Sunshine Bible Academy, Rock County Christian School and Nebraska Christian.She retired in 2000 and moved back to the Huron area where she resided until her death.
Kathy was an active member of Mt. Olivet Church.Her hobbies were reading and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl on October 5, 2010; four brothers, Paul in infancy, Iky, Clarence, and Delore Tschetter; and three sisters, Dorothy Becker, Pauline Hofer, and Annie Bothwell.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her three children and their families, Carlen (Christel) Ritenour of Fairbanks, Alaska and their two children, Ashley and Colten, Keith (Holly) Ritenour of San Antonio, Texas and their two children, Alexandra and Jamilyn, and Colleen (Vance) Grace of Grand Junction, Colorado and their three children, Cheyenne, William, and Sheridan; her mother-in-law, Eunice Ritenour; four sisters, Irene Polidori, Frances (Chester) Tschetter, Delores (Lester) Meyer, and Carol Wurz; two brothers, Jerome Tschetter and Calvin (Peggy) Tschetter; one sister-in-law, Pat (John) Looby; two brothers-in-law, Stan Thorson and Jim Ritenour; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
