Obituary

Judith Ann Jungemann, age 77, of Huron, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018, at her home with family by her side. Her family gathered to celebrate her life at 3:30 PM, Tuesday, November 27th, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Judith Ann Carpenter was born July 25, 1941, to Rollins and Florence (Sabers) Carpenter at the Sprague Hospital at Huron. She graduated from Huron High School in 1957. She later graduated from Northwest College of Commerce in 1970.
Judy worked as a bookkeeper at Manford Music, then at Fullerton Furniture for 15 years, until her retirement at age 62.
Judy enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan, with baseball being her favorite as she followed the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Joseph; and siblings, Donna Baker, Russell Carpenter, Richard Carpenter, Naoma Manolis and James Carpenter.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her three children, Rick Jungemann of Huron, Laurie and Kent Shelton of Huron and Kathy and Terry Grohs of Omaha, Nebraska; fourteen grandchildren, Dylan Greeninger of Huron, Raleigh Jungemann of Sioux Falls, Frankie and Heather Iversen of Parker, Travis Iversen of Bismarck, North Dakota, Emily and Vance Janak of Niobrara, Nebraska, Molly Shelton and Jerrad Hopper of Huron, Taylor Shelton and Paul Kissner of Volga, Scott and Katie Grohs of Omaha, Nebraska, Brigid and Aaron Duncan of Lincoln, Nebraska, Sarah and Nate Crook of Omaha, Nebraska and Matthew Grohs, Raiyna Grohs, Melani Grohs and Aliah Grohs, all of Omaha, Nebraska; eight great-grandchildren, Lenora and Patricia, Austen, Ryker and Sterling, Lela, Jonathon and William; a special sister-in-law, Connie Carpenter of Aberdeen; nephew, Jason Carpenter of Omaha, Nebraska; niece, Jennifer Pate of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other nieces and nephews.
