Joshua Hofer, age 17, of Huron, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on August 27, 2020, with his family by his side.

His funeral service was held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 31st, at Mount Olivet Church. Joshua's service will be live streamed through Mount Olivet Church's live streaming program . A private burial was held in the Ideal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 30th, at Mount Olivet Church, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM Sunday evening.

In lieu of flowers, his family prefers memorials for a tribute bench.

Joshua Landon Hofer was born November 23, 2002, to Josh and Susanne (Waldner) Hofer, with a proud older sister, Krista.

Joshua was the life of the party. He always had a smile, a kiss and a hug for the girls. He was fun, loving and kind. Joshua hated to see when anyone was sad. He loved being outside, laying in the hammock or riding in the gator with his mom and dad. One of his favorite things to do was to spend quality time with his sister, watching movies and listening to music. He loved being surrounded by his many cousins. Joshua enjoyed a Coke with ice and pizza.

He had many loves in his life including, his dad, mom, sister and future brother-in-law, Nathan; and his grandpa, grandmas, aunts and uncles. He absolutely adored his cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Josh Hofer and one aunt, Jami Waldner.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Josh and Susanne Hofer of Huron; his sister and her fiancé, Krista and Nathan of Huron; his maternal grandparents, Chris and Margaret Waldner of Huron; his paternal grandma, Hilda Hofer of Howard; his aunts, Marlene (Michael) Hofer, Margaret (Johnny) Hofer, RoseAnne (Jake) Waldner and Maggie Wipf; his uncles, Joey (Diane) Waldner, Chris Waldner, Lanny (Elizabeth) Waldner and Randy (Melissa) Hofer; and his cousins, Michael, Kaden, Lee, Kean, Austin, Kylee, Akia, Lanae, Alana, Grace, Logan, Gillian, Michaela, Geralyn, Harper, Brookie and Michael.

Joshua's Floral Arrangements
