Joanne Hamilton, age 81, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 28, in the Bonilla Cemetery at Bonilla.

Joanne Rae Hamilton was born September 12, 1942, to Alvin and Mary Hamilton, at Huron. She was raised on a farm near Bonilla and graduated from Bonilla High School in 1960.

Joanne enjoyed traveling and lived in Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, California and Florida. After working for 45 years doing clerical and secretarial work, she retired from the Federal Government in 2005, at the age of 63.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon and Donald; and six sisters, Gladys, Dorothy, Ardis, Janice, Donna and Genevieve in infancy.

She is survived by one brother, Rollie Hamilton of Plant City, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
