Jerry D. Burmeister, age 69, of Iroquois, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at his home. As per his wishes, there will be no service at this time.

Jerry Burmeister was born February 21, 1952, to Harry and Gladys (Arvidson) Burmeister, in Rapid City, South Dakota.

On October 6, 1978, he married Betty (Schilling) Frazier. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jerry cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and tinkering with vehicles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; one daughter, Rebecca; and one sister, Ruth.

Jerry is survived by four children, Darla and Joey Collins of Iroquois, James Burmeister of Iroquois, Darrell Frazier and his fiancé, Sheryl Peterson of Aberdeen and Deb and Cliff Martin of Huron; one daughter-in-law, Amanda Frazier of De Smet; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by nine siblings, Lois Garrow of Billings, Montana, Harry Jack and Penny Burmeister of Rapid City, Doris Stecher of New Underwood, Ginger Sandahl of Olympia, Washington, Barbara Cox of Lexington, Kentucky, his twin sister, Peggy and John Masterson of New Underwood, Darrell and Kathy Burmeister of Wentworth, Tammy Burmeister of Spring Valley, California and Jona Burmeister-Curry of Pensacola, Florida.
